CBS Entertainment has released the Official Synopsis of NCIS episode “Grounded” (12.09) that will be aired on November 25, 2014.


While stuck at the Dulles airport due to inclement weather, DiNozzo, Bishop and her husband Jake work an NCIS case involving an elevated terrorist threat at Northeast airports during the Thanksgiving travel surge.

“NCIS” stars Mark Harmon as NCIS Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs, Michael Weatherly as NCIS Special Agent Anthony “Tony” DiNozzo, David McCallum as Dr. Donald “Ducky” Mallard, Pauley Perrette as Abby Sciuto, Sean Murray as NCIS pecial Agent Timothy McGee, Rocky Carroll as NCIS Director Leon Vance, Brian Dietzen as Jimmy Palmer and Emily Wickersham as Probationary NCIS Agent Eleanor “Ellie” Bishop.

Guest starring are Jamie Bamber (NSA Attorney Jake Malloy), Klea Scott (Airport Police Lieutenant Janet Lewis), Trent Dawson (Norman Dopps), Edie McClurg (Mrs. Ruth Potts), Philippe Brenninkmeyer (Dapper Don/Alberto Velez), Trent Dawson (Mike Beers), Chris Dougherty (Airport Police Officer Lou Sandlock), Chris Flanders (Self-Important Pete/Joseph McBride), Rane Jameson (Pajama Hipster) and Jackie Johnson (ZNN Meteorologist Chelsea Mills).

“Grounded” (#1209) was written by Scott Williams and directed by Bethany Rooney.


NCIS (Naval Criminal Investigative Service) is more than just an action drama. With liberal doses of humor, it’s a show that focuses on the sometimes complex and always amusing dynamics of a team forced to work together in high-stress situations.
