HBO reveals Official Synopsis of The Nevers episode Pilot

HBO has released the Official Synopsis of The Nevers episode “Pilot” (1.01) that will be aired on Sunday, April 11 at 9:00-10:00 PM.


London, 1899. Three years after an inexplicable event suddenly equips them with extraordinary abilities, Amalia True (Laura Donnelly) and Penance Adair (Ann Skelly) work to protect their kind from widespread, deepening antipathy. Meanwhile, police inspector Frank Mundi (Ben Chaplin) investigates a string of murders at the hands of a reportedly Touched and highly dangerous serial killer named Maladie (Amy Manson).

“The Nevers” is starring Olivia Williams as Lavinia Bidlow, James Norton as Hugo Swann, Tom Riley as Augustus “Augie” Bidlow, Pip Torrens as Lord Gilbert Massen, Ben Chapli as Inspector Frank Mundi, Denis O’Hare as Edmund Hague, Amy Manson as the tortured, Rochelle Neil as the fire-wielding Annie “Bonfire” Carby, Zackary Momoh as orphanage doctor Horatio Cousens, Eleanor Tomlinson as Mary Brighton, Elizabeth Berrington as Lucy Best, Anna Devlin as Primrose Chattoway, Kiran Sonia Sawar as Harriet Kaur, Viola Prettejohn as Myrtle Haplisch, Ella Smith as Désireé Blodgett, Vinnie Heaven as Nimble Jack, Nick Frostas feared criminal overlord Declan “Beggar King” Orrun.

In The Nevers, August, 1896. Victorian London is rocked to its foundations by a supernatural event which gives certain people – mostly women – abnormal abilities, from the wondrous to the disturbing. But no matter their particular “turns,” all who belong to this new underclass are in grave danger.
