The CW has released the Official Synopsis of Burden of Truth episode “Spirits in the Material World” (4.05) that will be aired on Friday, August 27 at 8:00-9:00 PM.
JOANNA MUST CREATE NEW OPTIONS IF SHE IS GOING TO PROVE HER CASE
Joanna (Kristin Kreuk) and Billy (Peter Mooney), struggling to deal with the demands of being new parents, are blindsided when their injunction against the mine is overturned. Luna (Star Slade) tries to find a legal avenue to help a victim of trafficking. The Millwood Police raid a safehouse, where Taylor (Anwen O’Driscoll) makes an important discovery.
“Burden of Truth” is starring Kristin Kreuk as Joanna Chang, Peter Mooney as Billy Crawford, Star Slade as Luna Spence, Meegwun Fairbrother as Officer Owen Beckbie, Anwen O’Driscoll as Taylor Matheson, Brynn Godenir as Stevie Nichols, Paul Essiembre as Nevin Page, Skye Pelletier as Kip Bellegarde.

In Burden of Truth, Attorney Joanna Hanley (Kristin Kreuk) leaves her picture-perfect legal career as a partner in a corporate law firm to solve the case of a mysterious illness affecting the female high school students of her hometown Millwood in Manitoba – a prairie town with an industrial past and an uncertain future.
