The CW has released the Official Synopsis of The Flash episode “A New World – Part 4” (9.13) that will be aired on Wednesday, May 24 at 08:00-09:00 PM.

THE FINAL RUN

The Flash (Grant Gustin), the fastest man alive, is tasked with his greatest challenge yet, to save the timeline and save existence. Friends old and new gather for an epic battle to save Central City, one last time.

“The Flash is starring Grant Gustin as Barry Allen/The Flash, Candice Patton as Iris West-Allen, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow/Killer Frost, Jesse L. Martin as Detective Joe West, Danielle Nicolet as Cecile Horton, Kayla Compton as Allegra Garci and Brandon McKnight as Chester P. Runk.

The episode was written by Eric Wallace & Sam Chalsen and directed by Vanessa Parise (#913).

In The Flash, Barry Allen was just 11 years old when his mother was killed in a bizarre and terrifying incident and his father was falsely convicted of the murder. With his life changed forever by the tragedy, Barry was taken in and raised by Detective Joe West, the father of Barry’s best friend, Iris. Now, Barry has become a brilliant, driven and endearingly geeky CSI investigator, whose determination to uncover the truth about his mother’s strange death leads him to follow up on every unexplained urban legend and scientific advancement that comes along.
