Paramount+ has announced that Mayor of Kingstown has been renewed for an eight-episode fifth and final season, with Oscar nominee Jeremy Renner returning alongside Emmy and Golden Globe winner Edie Falco.
The series is co-created by Oscar nominee Taylor Sheridan and Hugh Dillon. Season four, which concluded on December 28, currently holds a 100% Tomatometer score on Rotten Tomatoes.
In season four, Mike’s grip on Kingstown begins to slip as new forces move in to claim the power vacuum left behind after the Russians’ collapse. With a gang war brewing and the town at risk of being consumed, Mike is pushed into escalating conflict to keep control. At the same time, the danger to those closest to him intensifies, and he’s forced to navigate a stubborn new Warden—while facing unresolved demons from his past.
Along with Renner and Falco, season four also stars BAFTA winner Lennie James, Tony winner Laura Benanti, Hugh Dillon, Taylor Handley, Tobi Bamtefa, Derek Webster, Hamish Allan-Headley, and Nishi Munshi.
