Syfy has officially announced that The Ark will return for a third season in 2026, bringing back Lt. Sharon Garnet (Christie Burke) and her resilient crew for more thrilling space adventures.
“We’re thrilled to launch another season of The Ark,” said Dean Devlin, series co-creator, co-showrunner, and executive producer, in a statement. “Back in space again - and the best is yet to come!”
Devlin, known for iconic sci-fi projects like Stargate and Independence Day, co-created the series with Stargate SG-1 co-creator Jonathan Glassner. The two previously collaborated on The Outpost for The CW and now serve as co-showrunners and executive producers on The Ark.
Set a century in the future, The Ark follows the perilous journey of humanity’s last hope as it searches for a new habitable world. Alongside Burke, the ensemble cast includes Richard Fleeshman (Lt. James Brice), Reece Ritchie (Lt. Spencer Lane), Stacey Read (Alicia Nevins), and Ryan Adams (Angus Medford)..
