Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’ Renewed for Fifth and Final Season Ahead of Season 3 Premiere

Paramount+ has officially announced that its hit original series, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, will conclude with a fifth and final season. The announcement comes ahead of the show's highly anticipated third season premiere this summer. The final season will feature six episodes, with production scheduled to begin later this year.
Season 3 is set to debut with a two-episode premiere on Thursday, July 17, exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S. New episodes will follow weekly every Thursday, leading up to the season finale on September 11. The series had already been renewed for a fourth season, which is currently in production.
Critically acclaimed and embraced by fans, Strange New Worlds has earned “Certified Fresh” honors on Rotten Tomatoes for its first two seasons. It has also garnered several award nominations, including a Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Drama Series in 2023 and a Saturn Award win for Best Science Fiction Television Series in 2022.

The series is produced by CBS Studios, Secret Hideout, and Roddenberry Entertainment. The upcoming third season stars Anson Mount, Rebecca Romijn, Ethan Peck, Jess Bush, Christina Chong, Celia Rose Gooding, Melissa Navia, Babs Olusanmokun, and Martin Quinn, with guest appearances by Carol Kane and Paul Wesley.
Goldsman and Myers serve as co-showrunners, alongside executive producers Kurtzman, Aaron Baiers, Dana Horgan, Alan McElroy, Robbie Thompson, Frank Siracusa, John Weber, Chris Fisher, Anson Mount, Rod Roddenberry, and Trevor Roth.
